I went to a hospital the other day to visit a children's hospital where a friend of mine was recovering from a car accident. I was suprised to see so many premature babies and I noticed that most of them were black or African American. I dont have any solutions for you. This was just an observation. Perhaps it is that African Americans tend to have more premature births than other races. Genetical difference do exist in other areas like Sickel Cell Anemia. This might be a genetic difference between black and white people or it may be a difference in attitude to health care or a lack of financial ability to seek health care. I am not certain for sure which it is.

What do you think?

Have you been in a Children's Hospital Lately?
