Headphones suggestions for office/home?

I'm a total newb when it comes to headphones, and am wondering what makes/models are good.

The set for work is going to be used to listen to music. Sometimes the office gets kinda loud, so some noise cancelling ones would be nice... although earbuds would allow me to know if someone was talking to me.

The set for home must be stereo + headset. I've been getting by with a cheap $10 one from Fry's. It gets the job done, but I'd like something with better sound quality.

Wireless would be cool - especially at home, since I can walk around and use Skype at the same time.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Can't say from experience, but the "Grado SR80"s get rave reviews and the "sony e888" earbuds seem to be awesone too. The Grado sr80 have been reviewed by PCgamer recently and Patrick Norton from the old TSS show recogmends them.

i own dsp-500 very good headset usb built in sound card. they are pretty much audio 90's with a sound card. those are both made by plantronics. the best headset out right now is sehniser 155. all the headsets i am talkign about come mics and are good gaming headphones. if i were you i would go with the senhiser 155's since they are the best outa right now.

What price range are you looking at?

I'm not really sure, as I have no idea how much a decent set of headphoens cost. Maybe $20-50 for each pair? Just something to start out with...

I have some experience with headsets.

I've owned 2 pairs of Altec lansing headsets, both the AHS-202 and AHS-302. the 202 stopped working in one ear and the 302's hurt my ears so badly after about an hour that I threw them in the trash. I also owned a Labtec headset that also broke.

Currently I have a Sennheiser PC150 Headset(my review is the one from 10/29/04) if you're will to spend the money, you can get one for $39, free shipping at Amazon I think its welll worth the price, you're paying twice the price for 3 to 4 times the quality. The PC130 headset from sennheiser is supposed to be good too, its about $10 cheaper.

Depends on what you consider decent. I think my Senn HD 5XX series are decent, they ran me a bit under $200. Others don't think they are, they spend a few times that to get a decent set. Honestly I don't think anything south of $100 is worth looking at for home use, although with portables exceptions have to be made of course.
