Headphones and Xbox 360 Question

I just got Turtle Beach X12 headphones for my Xbox 360 and I noticed that the inline amplifier stays powered up via the USB port even when the Xbox console is off. Is it OK to leave the headphones powered up all the time or would it be a better idea to unplug them? I unplug them from the wireless controller when the controller is off.
I may leave them powered up for a couple weeks just to test them out before the return period expires but I would like to take care of them so they last a while.

GameStop has the x42's wireless version of x12's with surround sound for $89.99 refurbished which is a real good deal. I bought a pair for a gift

Turtle Beach says it's OK to leave the headphones plugged in all the time. Or unplug them, either way will not harm the hardware.

As far as the wireless headphones, it would be tough to beat the X12 for value, I can live with a couple wires, I don't do Kinect gymnastics. Also, I have a few wireless devices in the same area, I understand there can be problems with multiple wireless devices.

They use dual band 2.4 and 5ghz Wi-Fi I get no interference at all

I left my turtle beaches plugged in for years, they will be fine.
