headphone question

i'm looking at two different sets of cans, the Sennheiser PX200s and the HD497s. they PX200s are a little cheaper than the 497s, and they also fold up for portablility. i'll use them mostly with my mp3 player and portable cd player, but sometimes i like to game with headphones. which ones give the best sound and are most comfortable?

Sennheiser HD590's are beautiful. Pick a pair up.
I run mine on an Audigy2 ZSPro for CS.
Seems like overkill for a five year old game but
you would be suprised.

Do you have an amp? If you are gonna pay for nice headies you gots ta get urself an amp too.... also you need a good source and mp3s arent it....

Try Headwise. I can reccomend the Koss Portapros for under $50. I'd advise against closed headphones at that price.

I heard Koss portapros are plain awesome... better than Sennheisers at the same price. you should check out Grado stuff, they spend allt heir money doing research for better sound than the aesthetics.

the best gaming headphones from sennheiser are the pc155's, they are only 100, but have a mic if you can deal with that when listening to your music then i guess it's fine

open headphones have holes/ports whatever that let the sound leak out the back. its makes for better sound, less resonance inside the can or something blah.. they sound more like speakers in a room then headphones. course u can only use em where other people won't be bothered. i'm sure u can find a ton on in at head-fi.org or headphone.com
