Headlight upgrade for a '94 Altima?

The stock headlights, to put a fine point on it, suck. I never feel like I have enough light on the highway at night. Can anyone point me to a source for brighter bulbs that I can just plug into the existing headlight? I have no interest in doing a full-on xenon-mega-nuclear light conversion or anything.

Brighter headlights are illegal in CA.. might want to check out GA law to be sure.

I'm not super-worried about it. There are enough people in town here driving cars with arc headlights that will set fire to small animals at 100 yards that I realy doubt they'll notice an extra 10w on my Altima.

Stock bulbs are 60/55s by the way. How much can I bump this up before I'm melting the housing or something?

A lot of people are liking the Sylvania Silver Stars. Also I've heard good things about MTEC (check eb*y). There's PIAA of course.
