...what should I look forward to? I am going to be working during the day, so the nightlife is what I am looking for. Instead of checking out tons of websites, I figured I should ask a bunch a people familar with the area. I was going to have a hotel party, but considering that I am working in the hotel that I am staying at, I don't think it would be too professional rolling a keg past the front desk with a 'Fvck You' T-shirt on 😀. I am staying off of West Harbor Drive, anything cool round there?

Well, you can go check out Horton Plaza and do some shopping. The Gaslamp quarter is within walking distance and there are tons of good restaurants and bars around there. If you like looking at old sailing ships there is the San Diego Maritime Museam which has a few vessels you can tour including the Star of India, which is the world's oldest active sailing ship (built in 1863). There is a nice lounge at the top of the Hyatt with excellent views of downtown San Diego. A great place to stop off and have a drink.

Enjoy your trip! San Diego is a great city. I love living here.😀

Thanks Jules, I just checked out Yahoo Maps and it looks like Horton Plaza is only 4 blocks from where I'm staying. Good walking, I mean drunken stumbling distance. I will definitely check out the Hyatt lounge (Manchester Grand Hyatt, I assume?) and get some cool pics.

yep, your in a prime location. gaslamp is a pretty good night scene. jules gave some good advice. ill try to think of something else to add to this thread...
