I'm here on a job... I'm not staying at a resort or anything, and I'm only here until Monday... well, plane leaves at 6:20am Monday morning... so chances are I wont have any time to even go swimming let alone get a SCUBA cert... :D

No... I was planning on bringing some stuff for the locals, but after I got my bags all packed for the job I'm doing I had zero space...

St. Georges was REALLY nice... the capital city... I'm staying in Grenville, and it's far from tourist area... lol

Nope... but it's not Canada or the United States either...

There are plenty of homes here with no roofs, etc.

People would probably be greatly insulted if you went up to their houses and gave them toothbrushes.

Sarcasm? At least I had intentions to take supplies down to people that may be in need... There are plenty of homeless, in need people... Especially the ones not in the major city's... We passed through villiages that were devistated... I'm sure they could use whatever they can get...

If you REALLY REALLY want to be a doctor, but can't get into medical school in the US, you can go to an offshore medical school in the Carribean and eventually get a license to practice medicine here.

The guy who graduates at the bottom of his class is called Doctor just like the guy who graduated #1 from Harvard.

My friend is an archaeologist. He used to take packs of Bic pens to Belize to give away to the locals. They LOVED them.

I'm home, safe and sound... with like 475 pictures... I have taken about 90 or so of the best ones and uploaded them to the web... and I have some panoramic ones that I will post up later of a view of the top of a mountain, A few of the beaches as well as St. Georges (Capital City)

Here are the pictures that are up so far!

Sweet pics man

Looks like there is a very rough side of the coast then the very calm side where you all went swimming. It looks empty on the beach! was it like that the whole time? that's awesome!

Yeah, one side of the island was really rough, couldnt get in the water at all... Then we went to the west side of the island and it was quite smooth... really nice and relaxing there...

There were people on the beach, but not too many... it was rain on/off all day that day so I think a lot of people were in the city and everything... Was a Sunday on top of that...

The island isnt quite like Aruba, but still very nice!!

Yah it definitely looks nice though man!

In 3 weeks I'm going to Nicaragua for a week. At first we are going to stay w/my GF's family in the normal parts of Nicaragua where all of her cousins live and what not, nothing tourist oriented at all. Then we are heading to 2 different beaches, Montelimar and then taking a short plain ride to Corn Island.

I am pretty excited about going there, but it's going to be very intimidating going to an island where English is not close to being the main language spoken. I understand spanish decently (if thats even a word) but I can't speak it nearly as well as I can understand it.
