Getty Center ftw. Amazing art, amazing scenery, amazing views. This would be the place to go if you're in SoCal for a short period. You can literally see all of LA from this place..from the beaches out in the west all the day to Downtown LA.

It's cheap too, $5 for parking and then you go up the tram..much less than what you'd spend at an amusement park.

Is the hurricane one any good?

No.

The good one is Raging Waters in San Dimas.

Cruise websites of big theme parks you might hit, for printable discount coupons.

By UCLA, see Getty Museum. For fun night entertainment, McCabes Guitar Shop on Santa Monica Blvd.

For driving around LA & OC, 2X or 3x the driving times you estimate from a map. So what should take you 30 min back home can take maybe 2 hours in LA, not quite as bad in OC.

Stop by Tommy Burger, awesome hamburgers!

Since you are gonna bein the OC, I would suggest Huntington Beach near the Pier. Fun beach to wlak around on and do some shopping.

i have some buy one get one free coupons for six flags and $8 off hurricane harbor if you want them

if you do end up in east la check out el tepiyac! best mexican food ever

i too suggest what has already been posted.. santa monica, miracle mile, hollywood blvd etc etc etc

whenever i have people visiting me i always take them to 3rd street. make sure you go on the weekend when they have a bunch of random street acts. it's also very close to the santa monica pier where they have carnival games and a nice place to watch the sunset.

for cheap tickets try going on ebay. you can get some great deals there that are legit (just check the feedback rating)

also venice beach is fun.

L.A., oddly enough, is the only city where I've lost my wallet or phone on numerous occasions and always gotten them back. In one case I actually got my wallet back with more money in it than I remembered having.

Yes we are definitely getting 8 tickets for magic mountain. All students are on a budget here so any discount would totally help...thanks

K-Town! You are going to love that place. Rawr, I love the insanely good food around there. I know my Korean BBQ places in Norcal, but it's just nice to find somewhere that's literally blocks and blocks and blocks and MILES even of just Korean stores. We have streets that may be dominantly Korean, but those only last for a few blocks the size of SF Chinatown, but K-Town in LA is like many many times larger than any Chinatown.
