OH! We did go deep-sea fishing. Sadly we didn't catch many keeper fish, but we did catch 4 sharks which we were able to keep, clean and eat (tasted like salmon I think)

Did you hear anything about the bacteria contamination at the beach? The levels at Myrtle have been high enough that the EPA said not to swim in the ocean since February.

Good you had a successful beach trip.

I saw the warnings when we went down. It was mostly north beach.

I will say something that I found pretty disgusting was the practice of running culverts from the streets right down to the beach. When it rained everything from the street would back up in these pools in the beach and then if there was enough of it, it would eventually start running down into the ocean. The pools were black and nasty. Each morning they would bring front loaders along and dig them up and smooth out the trench.

That can't be healthy.
