Head unit question . . .

Alpine makes one.

Surf crutchfield, I think there's others.

It's not in-dash.

My buddy has one in his new F-150, I mean, sheesh, if Motorcraft makes an in-dash, 5-disk CD changer with MP3 support, surely somebody else does?

Why do you need an in-dash if it plays MP3 CDs?

A CD changer, in the trunk, with 5 CDs of 224 Kbps MP3's, will give you something like 2200 minutes of music.

You won't change it for months.

And then have the in-dash single-disk player for when you need on-the-fly goodness.

I recommend Kenwood for the dash-based ones. I llooooooooove my Kenwood. NEVER skips. EVAR.

Compared to Sony/Aiwa, which NEVER plays. It always skips. Sometimes just for the hell of it.

I don't have a trunk. I have a Durango and the back of it is filled up with various stuff 95% of the time. And I don't wanna hassle with putting it under the seat; I don't think it would fit anyway.

Stuff will ALWAYS fit under the seat. Worst case scenario, it can mount under the glovebox, in the glovebox, or something to that effect.

Or call your local Best Buy and ask about mounting options for that make/model. Odds are high they'll know EXACTLY where it can be put.
