I only read page one when I got bored... does it ever explain what happens to this dbag?

Afaik, and based on where the article leaves off, nothing has happened yet beyond the mass quantities of diapers he and his partners are probably going thru right now.

What a worthless excuse for a human being. Deserves everything he has coming to him, including extradition.

It'd be somewhat amusing if a copycat instructed some weak-minded, but armed person to take him hostage & drop him off in the middle of nowhere, naked...

Of course, if he had played any of his pranks here, Harvey would have tracked him down & called his mother within 20 minutes. 😛

I agree. I have never heard of this. Also, the writing on TSG article is really bad. You ever have a friend or coworker who tries too hard to sound smart?

You ever have a friend that likes to criticize good writing because he doesn't realize that a muckraking story is different from an investigative story? Or maybe he just sucks at writing himself and is jealous? 🙂

Huh, I thought it was really, really interesting.

Unless tasmanian was the trustee of your estate, I wouldn't worry about him.

Not sure if 4chan could be motivated to ruin his life but since all that info is readily available, they might do it.

I'd love to see this guy picked up and hauled into a nasty prison somewhere. Mr. e-tough wouldn't be so tough anymore, something tells he we're going to see him whimpering and crying in front of a judge in the future......

I'll have to read the entire thing later, but I read about their pranks before and I hope this jackass and his buddies get beaten down. Idiots.

Nothing wrong with just a regular phone prank, and I can even see how some of the "victims" of certain pranks share some responsiblity due to sheer stupidity, but these idiots took it to completely criminal levels, I hope they pay for it with real jail time in a real jail.

Earlier this year Marquis offered a $500 bounty to anyone in the chat room who could succeed in getting someone to drive a car through the lobby window of a hotel. Remarkably, Malik did just that on May 27 at a Hampton Inn in York, Nebraska. Posing as a representative from a fire alarm company, Malik tricked a front desk worker into pulling the hotel alarm, which he claimed was malfunctioning and needed to be "reset." After the alarm sounded, he told the woman that the only way to stop the screeching was to break lobby windows, which supposedly contained sensors of some sort. As York Police Department Chief Donald Klug recalled, "A trucker was standing there and he offered to help and drove his truck through the front door."

Jesus christ people are so fucking stupidly gullible

I disagree. I love a good prank as much as the next guy and stuff like the Tom Mabe telemarketer murder scene prank was classic but this is just criminal behavior. Some of the victims might have been stupid but we all know people in general are not exactly bright. Even smart people who are not paying attention can get pranked pretty easily, though probably not to the extent of some of the victims of Pranknet.

These people are just a bunch of frigging retards. They deserve to be locked up. Their "pranks" have the potential of causing someone long lasting harm. Some of their victims have likely lost their jobs which can affect their family. I'd be royally pissed if it was someone I know who unknowingly followed these idiot's directions and lost their job. Especially if the person had a family to support. Others are taking a huge huge financial hit. The April 30 incident with the Lafayette, Louisiana restaurant might cause a long lasting reputation hit from which it might not be able to recover. If that restaurant shuts down, an entrepreneur has lost his business and his workers are all out of work.

These degenerate low lifes need to be sent to federal pound me in the ass prison.

Oh they definitely took it to another level and in a way I would agree with your sentiment about the victims could be responsible to a slight degree. However keep in mind some of those hotel people were pranked at crazy goofy hours at night, and naturally when travelling and getting some call in the middle of the night it would be reasonable to not think straight. Hell my brain hardly functions in the morning until I get coffee in my system.

Anyhow when they high-jacked phone lines, that completely crossed the line. I would imagine something like that would have to be a felony.

To some degree but I disagree that the victims should shoulder any blame. I mean, when I go out to work or just to hang out, I'm not trying to look out for getting pranked. Especially not to a degree where criminal mischief may be involved.

Yes and No. If I was at the hotel and an employee told me the windows had to be broken I'd be driving through the glass 😛 You'll never get the opportunity to be told to drive through a building again.

I'm kinda serious 🙁 . I guess I'd probably call the actual fire alarm company and check cause that's really stupid - but on the other hand... a sanctioned drive through a building? hrmm....
