potential candidates to replace him...

Russ Grimm?
Ron Rivera?
Tom Moore?
Jim Mora Jr?
Jim Haslett?
Jimmy Johnson?
Bill Cowher?

Tom Moore has said numerous times he will not leave the Colts. He has something special in Peyton Manning. And doesn't want to give that up.

Bill Cowher is still under contract with the Steelers. And he doesn't look like he wants to give up his vacation from football.

Ron Rivera just resigned with the Bears. Jim Mora Jr, went to the Seahawks as an assistant.

Jimmy Johnson I dunno, I'm sure over the years owners have tried to pull him back into the NFL but he seems content being in the booth.

Grimm is signed with the Cardinals.

playoff choker. He plays against better teams in playoffs, loses to said better teams. They're not winning a superbowl with him.

biggest irony of all is, he lost this year BECAUSE he didn't play marty ball.

the biggest criticism of Marty Ball was that it was too conservative, too much run and not enough run.

if he had played Marty Ball the entire second half of that game vs NE, they would have won for sure.

instead, he left it up entirely to his Offensive Coordinator, who was such a fool that L Tomlinson almost never got the ball in the second half. how STUPID was that.

Partially true ... why they abandoned the run in the 2ed half is beyond me, however since the FULL definition of "Marty-ball" includes losing when you should win he did in fact do it again!

What we are also seeing here is part of why the Chargers seem to have a lot of trouble winning as an organization. This situation was handeled as badly as Marty handled the 2ed half offense in the Pats loss ... either fire him immediately after the Superbowl -OR- keep him for next season ... doing it this way was simply retarded.
