I've got an analog tv tuner in my pc atm and my reception is really poor.

I'm wondering if i get a really good digital HDTV tuner, will it improve the overall quality of TV on my computer, or are these tuners highly dependant on a good reception?

Also ive noticed there are some little small USB HDTV tuners and im wondering if they are any good??
 
it wont make a difference for analog broadcast, but if you are in range for hd/digital broadcasts it will be much better, or if you get a qam one and you have cable (and your cable provider offers some non encrypted channels) it will also help. Look at http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx to see if you are in range for atsc broadcasts and what channels you can pickup with what kind of antenna.
