that is what i was trying to say, kalrith said it much better. He also added the info about the 24fps pulldown.
As for the motion plus, mine was on by default. i keep it on but i did turn it down some. It is interesting to watch it work. some things it is kind of nice to turn it up, others not so much. It is all a matter of opinion and your own perception of the displayed images.
Was your set a floor/demo model? Part of the setup asks if the set will be in a store. it really changes the picture if it is set in store mode. That or maybe samsung decided to disable it by default, i really don't know.
