I am going to be using a widescreen HDTV as my moniter. should I use a DVI-componet adapter, direct DVI, or S-video?
 
Some HDTVs do not support a direct dvi connection from a pc. I have a 26" Samsung widescreen and it says in the manual it does not work with computer dvi connections. So beware, it even says that it can damage the tv. I would read your manual. Good luck though.
 
Some on the AVS forum have experienced problems with direct DVI connections and nVIDIA's latest drivers. However, nVIDIA says it should work just fine (I emailed them about it). BTW, to what component adapter are you referring for a BFG 6800 GT OC? Are you talking about a VGA to component transcoder or something of the like?
