I am in the market for a new HDTV antenna. I currently have a Terk HDTVi Indoor Antenna, but I live in the woods 12 miles from the antenna, so my reception can sometimes be unwatchably bad so I am looking for an amplified outdoor antenna that will give me a more reliable signal. With my current one, my signal is good (at least 5 bars on each channel) but it skips out often. can anyone recommend an antenna for me?

We got one they recommended for our area. Works great. We tried the amplification route, and still do amp the signal, but the real benefit didn't come until we got the good antenna itself, amplification or not doesn't change the signal much.

Also, which I found surprising, is the HDTV tuner. We used to use a set top tuner, and it would drop the signal every so often, and make the audio pop quite often. Got a new plasma tv with a built in tuner, and that thing NEVER pops the audio, and a video dropout is VERY VERY rare.

Can I go outside and make a computer chip out of all that sand on the beach too?
