HDtach locks-up system

Hi,
Just installed a new Abit BE6-II v2 mobo. Tried running HDtach 2.61 after moving my harddrives over to the HPT370 controller and the system locks up. Ran HDtach while the drives were connected to the standard ide controller and no probs there.

I've never had HDtach lockup any system until now. Anybody have any ideas??

P3-850e (no o/c)
256MB Crucial PC133 CAS2
ATI All in Wonder 128 32MB AGP
2 HDDs - Maxtor 20GB 7200 UDMA66
Maxtor 27GB 7200 UDMA66
Afreey 10X DVD
Floppy
Nothing else (yet)

I had the same problem just reinstalled H D.
