I took a picture of a table using multiple exposures. Here are the pics:

and this is what I got after messing around with Photoshop:

HDR Test

How can I improve this image?

To me, the image has looks so-so. What kind of adjustments do I need to make so it looks like some of the other HDR pics I've seen floating on the web?

Use Photomatix before importing to CS if you even need to:

EDIT- also, your last pic doesn't need to be there. You're not adding any detail. With that shot everything is overexposed and its going to create those weird halos around things.

The tone mapping feature of photomatix is what is really good...

I decided to try out Photomatix. Here is what I got:

I think it looks better than my Photoshop one.

Yeah, I'm still trying to mess around with the settings to achieve that realistic look. I still haven't quite figured it out. However, I was finally able to get a clear photo of my dog's face:

I'm happy for now. :)
