HDR or FPS?

In DoD:S with my system in my sig, using the 2005fpw, all settings high and HDR max, 2xAA, 4xAF i get an average of 45 fps and less in certain as you would assume. I take HDR off and leave everything else the same and i get like an average of 90 fps. what do you think is more worth it? also, is HDR just still to imcomplete right now and will there most likely be updates to the source engine or drivers that will increase my fps?

Edit: sorry the game is DoD: source

HDR seems pretty worthless to me. with it on it just makes certain things ridiculously bright. id much rather play with it off and get better performance.

I strive for the best of both worlds. I prefer smooth framerates to indulgant eye candy. But that doesn't mean I run my games with minimum details so they're always as smooth as possible. I usually keep my games at 1280x1024 (LCD) with full details. If that's too much, I'll lower the details a bit. If that's not enough, I upgrade. If I have enough system for it, I'll add AF first, then AA. HDR seems.. un necessary so far. But I haven't really seen a good example of it in use yet, except for maybe with the Unreal 3 trailer. But I would take FPS > HDR, if I couldn't afford to upgrade so that I could have both.
