Yeah, but they still became muddy in dark areas due to too much multitexturing, no? Maybe I'm thinking of another FPS. Was SoF the one with the multiple body targets?

I'm not sure if anyone knows this but it appears Painkiller is using HDR in the latest build. It runs fast and AA works too.

Yes but I think your texture comments are referring to Quake.
