ok, so I am building a home theater, and I am looking into the whole HDMI thing.
so, something I have noticed, there are a bunch of mother boards coming up that have HDMI ports on the board.
so, my question is. These HDMI ports, are they being driven by the on board card? the PCIE card?
My ultimate goal is to have a machine to stream video, but I would also like to play games on the projector.
so, it occured to me, that as new games come out, newer and faster cards will also emerge.
so, does the HDMI port scale with the video cards as new ones are added/ updated?
if not, do HDMI support directX 10? 9?
ultimatly, my projector has a DB15 for VGA, but I figured it would be kewl to have it configured with the receiver thats switched.
anyway, I really hope someone has the insight I need. I havent picked a cpu or MB for this project yet.
