HDMI LCD Monitor (PS3)

Been thinking about getting a new monitor that supported HDMI so I could harness the full potential of a PS3. The monitors I've been looking at are:

BenQ FP222WH Link
and Sceptre x22wg-Gamer Link

The Hanns is the cheapest, however, it does not have DVI, and the PS3 would be using the HDMI. So I would be missing out on quality for my computer?
The BenQ has DVI, is more expensive, but is 700:1 instead of 1000:1, so the quality isn't as good as the BenQ?
The Sceptre has both DVI and is 1200:1. However, I've heard many horror stories about their monitors.
What is my best bet in this situation?
Also, what about using a different connection like DVI with hdcp for my ps3? Would I be losing quality on my ps3?
If I do decide to go forward with this setup, what kind of cords do I need for the best quality? Thanks!

DVI and HDMI are the same type of signal but DVI cannot carry audio like HDMI can. Both are digital and unless somethings broken should be identical. Whether or not it would be an issue with HDCP I don't know.

That HannsG is nice; it was on sale at Staples on Black Friday for $150. I have a Dell SP2208WFP and it does a great job with my PS3 over HDMI.

I have the Dell 2405 and like MustISO said, you can get an HDMI to DVI converter cable (which I have) and get the same output (1080p if you desire). If there is HDCP with DVI it does not matter at least until they turn that flag on (forget what its called) that forces you do use an HDMI cable.

I believe none of the monitors you're looking at properly letterbox from 16:9 to 16:10, so you're going to have stretched images.

What about DVI and 700:1 on the BenQ versus the Hann's VGA with 1000:1? Which would have better picture?
