They are just like SATA cables, it doesn't matter at all as the signals are entirely digital.

It does matter, but only if your equipment requires the use of Ethernet or the audio return channels. For those, you need to buy cables that specify such. Otherwise, just about anything works for short runs.

I got my last ones from ebay, couldn't believe how cheap they were and picked up a nice hdmi > mini HDMI cable so i dont have to use an adapter anymore.

OP, the Amazon basics are just fine. I wouldn't be surprised if they are build by the same OEM that Monoprice uses.
