hi building a system from scratch and i am looking for 2 hdd saw a wd 640gb caviar at new egg 75$ any opinions is there 1 brand more reliable than others? thanks
 
Why do you want two harddrives? Please tell me it's not for raid0.

The WD6400AAKS is probably one of the best drives on the market today in terms of noise level, speed and value (<$0.12/GB is cheap).
 
no they are jst 2 separate drives 1 foo os and stuff and 1 for storage .was also looking at a seagate st364323as 640gb drive any opinions .thanks
 
WD6400AAKS is an excellent model, that's what I have in my gaming system. Very quiet, fast access times, doesn't get too hot either.
