HDD recommendations?

I'm looking for a fast 300-500GB HDD. I don't want to spend the money on a VelociRaptor. I've already to a 74GB and 150GB Raptor but I need more space. What are some good performing drives that aren't going to break the bank?

So far I've got my eye on a 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11.

BTW, this is going in a gaming machine so speed does matter.

spend $10 more than your avg 500gb and pick up a WD 6400AAKS.

The 320GB 7200.11 is a bit faster than the 500GB one but the price difference favors the 500. If speed is what you need 2 x 320GBs in raid 0 is probably the way to go but it will cost you way more than the 500.

WD 640GB drive is faster than the seagates AFAIK.

For how cheap those WD640 are going now, it's simly no contest. I've seen them go for as little as $72 at NCIX.com. It's an insanely fast, quiet and cool HD. I use it for my game installations only and have a another drive for my OS.
