Hey guys, I have a slight but not overly important question. I have Winme, and when I go into Device manager, it says my HDD's are generic. Is there a way to get the device manager to say the correct models of my HDD's?
I have an Asus A7V with the latest via 4in1 4.31, a fujitso and maxtor HDD, Tbird 750@978.
I know someone told me how to manually get the HDD's to read on the device manager, but i forget!! please help me!!!!

It doesnt matter if they show up as being generic...my IDE drives show up in Win2k as being SCSI drives (because they're on the promise controller), and it works just fine.

well thanks for the tip, but I know it can be done! I want to use the DMA Tool provided from VIA, but I cant until the HDD is recognized! But oh well thanks anyway!
