Hi, before, i was thinking about getting a WD HDD 1200JB, but then, the fact that having it the only drive on my computer is kind of risky (incase the drive died physically). So then, I am considering getting 2 HDD, each 80GB. Is there any recommendation to which one I should get? I am thinking about the WD 800JB, i want to keep the price ranges in the ~250 area. Thanks

If you want to go with 2 x 80gig drives, the WD drives sound like a good way to go. They're the fastest ide drives around and good size too.

reliable yes, quiet, i dont know. I know the maxtor with fluid bearings are very quiet. 🙂

There are people out there who aren't fond of WD's reliability, myself included, but you don't have listen to them. If you're looking for something extremely quiet, then you should go with Seagate.
