HDD partition help

I have tried to create a partition on my 200gig HDD, but windows stops it and says that I cannot create one due to the fact that XP files are on the drive. Well no kidding, so how do I go about creating one. Thank you for any help that you can give me. Sorry for posting such a noob ?.
 
Google BOOTIT NG. Download and install this application. The program will allow you to resize your C partition (without destroying the current data) to create FREE SPACE for another partition. You can also use BOOTIT to create a partition and image any partition on your hard drive.

Bootit is fully functional for 30 days. $35 is still very cheap for this program since you're eligible for FREE upgrade till version 1.99 (probably 2009).
