I got an enclosure a while back and put an 80gb hdd in there... worked fine...

i just got a new 250gb hdd, and put it in the old enclosure swapping out the hdds, and now i see problems.... it says delay write failed in windows whenever i transfer files to the new hdd...

is it possible some enclosure cant support a drive over 127gb? im gonna try putting it into a pc, and see, but is this something that could be the enclosure limitations messing this up?

Yes it's very possible that you have a Case with an older chip that won't support the 250Gig Drive and no one can inform you unless you let em know what you have.
