Been folding something fierce on the 1080ti, been like a freight train its been non stop for a while but i got the itch to play some light games. Not much in the mood to stop folding just for that then i realized my Asrock Z270 Killer SLI/ac mobo has a hdmi slot....got me to thinking don't some people set up hd630 for desktop usage by just plugging their hdmi cable into the mobo in theory making hd630 the main? I forgot the exact way to do it and was hoping anyone who does do this can walk me through how to pull it off.

I think the client will need tinkering for the slot, is it more trouble then its worth or am i grasping at straws coming up with such a idea? Monitor is a 1080p freesync at 75hz. :)

BIOS/UEFI: Enable Multi-display (enable integrated GPU when dedicated GPU is installed)

Disconnecting display may increase headroom for overclock/undervolt.

That must be some REALLY light gaming if the HD630 is involved...

Main game is called Wizard101, can run on C2D era based Intel Graphics. I get a nasty 8fps if i fold/game same time. Flys on the HD630 when i ran it solo, HD630 technically is overkill for the game for 1080p.

Big maybe on adding a 1050ti in the future when i jump on a 3900x.

You should be able to just tell windows which GPU to use (ex: your browser). Since you want to use the embed you can add via win10 graphics settings otherwise through the Nvidia control panel.

Ty very much, worked as easy as you said and its working like a charm, i just did it all in like 5 mins no joke. W10 even found the driver immediately and on a reboot i was done. I set up the 1gb max limit.
