Check this thread.
It seems post #29 is from Gary.

Well, the location info for Bingo13 who posted #29 in that thread shows it as Houston....so does anybody know if Gary Key from Anandtech is from Houston?

If so, then most likely it's him.

I did an advanced search here on the forums to see if Gary Key ever mentioned the words "Texas" or "Houston" in any of his 853 posts here on Anandtech....not one result. So either he is not from there, or he has just never mentioned where he lives in any of his posts.

Bingo 13 goes with AT . That thread great I read it earlier. I like the Nehalem bashing the best. Easy to seperate the boys from the men now days. Ya I didn't get a card this time. Thats because were working on sinks for 2 others.

There are zoners all over that site. You learn to just ignore it.

I wonder if he was being honest about having the new AMD video card sitting on his desk....to bad he didn't say when we'll see a review come out. Weeks? Months?

Is the usual practice for ATI (or for an ATI partner) to sent review samples 1 month before the release date?

Just asking!

So is this coming out on Sep 10th? If so I might return my GTX 275 (only a day old) and use something else in the mean time until the new ATi card is released.

Why would anyone with a current generation card jump on the next gen without seeing the price to performance ratio of both companies? 😕

I don't know but I hope it kicks ass and ATI ups its pricies to make some much needed$$$. Than wait on NV to catch up . With 28nm waiting.

I dont understand why you think shrinks = performance? All shrinks allow are higher clocks, which dont really matter if you know how to use an OC program.

For instance, my 280s, even on the larger process, are better than stock 285s, because I have the clocks higher.

New hardware to play with...duh!! 🙂

I wish nV would give at least a launch date...then we'd know how long we would have to wait.

Hey, I stand corrected. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to play with new hardware.

What price - performance ratio are you talking about?
New AMD cards with old NV cards?

Next gen V next gen.

Hell, even throw the last gen in there. Why not. AMD has great price/performance right now. Why wouldnt you compare?

Who cares? Anyone sitting on a current gen card would be silly to jump on 5XXX unless:

A. They are hardware enthusiasts and want to play around with new hardware

or

B. 5XXX is so great, there is no point in waiting to see anything else.
