Well of course these are all opinions...and saying that nvidia sucks is just stupid because if tehy REALLY did suck they wouldnt be the most popular cards on the market. I personally have a 9800gtx...and i am not sure about the overclockability of the 4850, but my 9800 gtx is overclocked to 800/2000/2300(stock: 675, ?, 2200) Plays all my games with no problem and even overclocked the temps dont get above 65*c. I dont have any experience with linux so i dont have any opinions about the driver reliability. I am running vista 64 and crysis @1400x900(with high settings) and it runs very smoothly. I am very satisfied with my new card. Hope this helps!
