he can run an amd quad on that mobo, but it would still cost much more than the upgrade from 3870 to 4850. probably at least $100 after selling his "x2 3600 rules". besides, he'd need a new name if he got a new cpu...

Which games do you play because I've noticed that with some games there is virtually no difference between the 3870 and 4850?
