Hey everyone...
Just picked up the new HP ZR30w, somewhat based on the excellent review found on this site....
I'm trying to use it as a video editing monitor, so it's not hooked up to the computer, (in this case a mac pro), but actually a Blackmagic HDlink pro converter box. The DVI version....
I've used the exact same hook ups to another monitor, the HP ZR24w, with the desired result.
signal path as follows:
editing 23.98 material in FCP
video exits the mac via AJA Kona 3 card.
Currently using both HD-SDI connections from the Kona to the Blackmagic box.
AJA control panel is set for dual link output.
The HD-SDI pass thru on the Blackmagic is in fact working, as it's driving my plasma down stream...
As noted in the review this monitor does not have a built in OSD. I'm starting to wonder if it's not recognizing my 1920x1080 res....
Any thoughts????
