When I formatted my computer, I split up my HD into partitions. I have a 160gb HD.
I put the C drive to hold 30 gb, and the other volume to hold 50. And now I still have unallocated space which I would like to just add to the volume that is 50gb.

I used the built in computer management utility on win. xp pro to do the above. How do I add the unallocated space to my 50gb partition? Do I need special software???

I hope that's enough information.

If you have no data in the 50 gig partition, you can delete it and create a fresh partition of 130gigs by going to disk mgmt.

Well, if it's a small enough amount of data to move temporarily to the C drive ...move it. Delete the D (or app drive letter) partition and create a new partition on the unallocated portion utilizing all of the space.

But how would I do it if I don't have enough space? I just want to "add" the remaining space onto it...will partition magic help?

I assume the software Partition Magic will do the trick for you. It's a commerical product, so you'll need to buy it.
