HD size troubles

Just built my first system, intel p4 3ghz, Abit 1c7-g mb, 512 pc3500 ram, + hitachi sata 160gb hd.
when i booted it up for the first time, after checking everything in bios was ok, i continued to install winxp, but it detected my HD as 130 all unpartitioned / unformatted . . . I made several partitions and continued to install just because i wanted to get on with it, but really dont like the idea of missing 30 gigs for no reason. Any help with this ? (oh yeah, i formatted ntfs, although dont think that should really matter). If need more info, let me know, thanks for all the help

If you're all set and the computer see's all of the disk. Right-click My Computer and go to Manage, then disk management. It should show a portion of the disc unused. (unparition space i think). You should be able to create another partition from this space merely by right-clicking on the graphic.
