HD Problems in Win2K

I'm having some problems with my IBM 75 GXP. Sometimes when I boot up, Sandra shows that the drive is using UDMA-5, which is what I want. Other times though, Sandra shows the current mode as being MDMA-2. It seems pretty random, it'll boot up and say it's using MDMA-2, and all I do is reboot and sometimes it will change, while other times it will not. Also, my Quantum Fireball AS drive always boots up as UDMA-4, instead of UDMA-5, and it definitely is an ATA-100 drive. Anyone ever have this problem?
