while i was unarchiving a file on my secondary HD i got a file system error. upon rebooting my secondary HD was unrecognized in My Computer and unreachable. while viewing the drive info in FDisk i found a "No active partitions are set on this drive" and the amout Avaliable equals the amount Free.

so i ran Norton Disk Doctor. it recognized that there was a partition error on HD 2 and attempted to fix the error. however, upon reboot the drive was still unrecognized in Win. and in FDisk the info for the drive states that 3 partitions are NON-DOS and the 4th is listed as XERES or something strange.

HOW CAN I FIX THE PROBLEM?!?!?!? i don't understand what it was that NDD did but it obviously didnt fix the partitioning error. so what other programs can try to fix this problem, i don't want to just reformat the drive and lose my 40 of data.
