HD ota?

Is a fancy new antenna (something like this) gonna get me any better reception than my 10 year old rabbit ears with a UHF loop and gain adjustment dial?

In my basement I'm getting 2 of the 4 major networks, 4 HD christian stations, and 2 WB-esque stations using my old rabbit ears.

My stupid DishNetwork HD doesn't include my local channels in HD (yet). That crap pissed me off after I paid $100 for the upgrade and signed a 2 year agreement.

That's a Zenith / Phillips Silver Sensor clone.

It is typically available for under $20 brand new at Amazon.

Check out antennaweb.org to see how far you are from the transmitters and the direction they are transmitting from.

The Silver Sensor (unamplified) should be good to say around 20 miles from transmitters. Just get a cheap compass from Walmart and point antenna at transmitters.
