HD LED not working on my mobo

Hello my harddrive LED is not working on my HD. I have the asrock dual sata 2. I plugged it in and everything like it says. THE PLugs right next to it which are power and reset both work but the HD LED doesnt. I followed the instructions but it doesnt seem to work. Any idea on how to fix it?

Try flipping the plug around...mine works with the HD Tray i use but i haven't seen to many that work wth SATA's if that's wwhat you are referring to...

it could be a bad cable too, do you have another led to test the hd pins? put in the power led there temporarily and see if that one lights up. If it does you know the hdd led wiring is bad. Red is always positive, Black is always negative.
