HD LCD TVs

What is there to look for in LCD TVs?
The fixed values are screen size (52") and resolution (1080). What would make one better than another?

Refresh rate, contrast ratio, on-board scaler, number and kind of inputs, warranty, type of tuner (NTSC, ATSC, clear QAM, CableCard), HDMI-CEC compatibility, quality of the remote control, weight, depth.

Looking thorugh the different TVs this Sharp seems to be it. The reviews I've seen have been positive.

If the TV is to be wall mounted, is it recommended for it to be done professionally? Ordering it online as opposed to retail would save about $200. How much would an installer charge?

No. Don't get that TV

Look for a Samsung 5xx 6xx or 7xx. 2000$ for a D64U is absurd it is basically a 2 year + old panel from the D62U

The 5xx series is a great tv (the best value, IMO). If you want 120hz, you can go to the 6xx series. If you have money to burn and want enhanced sound as well, go with the 7xx series (although it would never be a replacement for a decent surround sound system).

I was looking at the Samsung and the only thing I noticed better was the Dynamic Contrast Ratio. What makes it better than the Sharp? Also I noted that its response time was 5ms as opposed to 4ms for the Sharp. They both seem to be in the same ballpark for price.

EDIT: The ones that are not 120 Hz are 60Hz? Is it notable?

It's 30000:1 as opposed to 10000:1. Is the Samsung better than the Sharp even with the slower response time?
