HD errors in event viewer.

I suspect that I have a cable issue. I am seeing the following errors in the windows event viewer:

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\D.

A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.

They only appear at startup. I have ran diags on the HD and they appear to come back with no errors. Any suggestions as to what else I might check?

Thanks,
JD

Good call. Change the cable and see.
Reallocated sector count in SMART would be a red flag. I had bad block errors in event viewer as well.
