So I'm slowly but surely getting my HTPC up to snuff, but a problem has emerged.

I've got an LG Model GGC-H20L - OEM Blu-Ray/HD DVD drive in it and I'm using the Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra (V7.3) that came with it.

On the one Blu-ray movie I played everything seemed OK, but when I play a HD DVD disc, I quickly lose the sync between the video and the audio. If I pause the movie and then restart by mouse-clicking on the movie progress bar, the sync is re-established, but after five minutes, its off by about a second or so.

Any ideas of whats going and, more importantly, what I can/should do about it?

Did you try some other playback software? Maybe TotalTheater, or whatever it was?

Sounds like the program is detecting the wrong framerate. See if there are any options to set it manually.

a slip in audio means that your frame rates are off by .01% for instance 23.98 and 29.97 are the same audio speeds but 24 and 30 the audio is .01% faster. So you will get a slip like this. there must be a setting in your software that is affecting this as the hd-dvd is probably correct for itself.
