For some reason Windows has found it necessary to run CHKDSK every time I boot because the volume on my D: is dirty. Is there anyway to stop Windows from running is time consuming, three part process everytime I boot?
Prob a bad sector, or bad RAM
Run Memtest 86+ and HDD manuf testing software
You can delete a "bootexecute" registry entry, but that might mask your prob.
Sometimes after disallowing writing to a certain sector, it just keeps on checking.
But always check drive to make sure.
