My original card will run at 1250 @ 1.215v.

Havent tried it further, and havnt tried 2nd card past 1225 yet.

Looking forward to tomorrow night. Night!

Dling .26 Asu GPU tweak for my directCU II alla what karnage has.

will still not do 1200... will do 1150 with 1.21 (stock volts?).

stay under 60c in furmark.

Heating can't be an issue.

Contemplating selling and getting a gtx670.

We shall see.

Ill twiddle more and see if i can get 1200 stable.
Wondering if its CCC thats meddling.

Im having major 3dmark issues with my 7850.

Keep getting DirectX errors.
At work now.

Anyone else experienced issues with directx saying "window not available" ish errors when trying to run heaven and 3dmark?

Or has it before?

Does that for me when overclocking and not having enough voltage.

I also have had this, it was a Stability issue. Tad more voltage fixed it.

Will try this again.

Altho 1.21 (stock volt) is 1150 stable, but 1.25 isn't 1175 stable seems like a big jump.

ill try crank it up and experiment.. would be nice to have 1200 at min.

What's the maximum voltage for longterm use roughly recommended? (3ish years, planning to CF after christmas).

Some of these cards are duds. Mine will only do 1180mhz stable at 1.225v and I have excellent cooling.

Yea, we got that from your posts earlier
Doesn't really answer my q tho.

New Q:

Driver wise, full 12.4 CCC or selective installing of base drivers only + asus tweak?

Does anyone get different stability results with trixx or afterburner?

I'm determined to atleast reach 1200 somehow 😛

I was not able to get afterburner to work with voltages on my card. never tried Trixx.... (Does it only work with Sapphire cards? I remember it used to be like that I believe?)

I haven't done any testing yet on OC'ing my crossfired 7850s (I just got the 2nd one last night), but my first card easily hit 1250 and last night I ran both cards at 1225 without a hitch for 3DMARK 11 (once the nightmare of driver issues were identified and temp fixed).

Will do my testing tonight.

It seems the Asus cards are pretty much a no brainer for at least 1200 Core

When I had my single card only, 12.3, 12.4 or 12.5 Beta, didn't effect my O/C's at all.

Apparently Steam fucks up 3dmark.
Go figure, that was 3dmark problem.

Als having trouble with ASUS gpu tweak SAVING my OC?

it restarts, each reboot, what am i doing wrong?

edit:

aaaaand 3dmark fails fully on benching 1150 with 1250 mV.

Lame asus card, lame :C

Just cracked off 1300c/1300m to a tune of 7400 in 11. Thank you Trixx

Nice. Trixx isn't bad, it just can't undervolt and has less tracking graphs than Afterburner. But you can use Trixx + GPU-Z together to mimic the functionality of Afterburner, without having to put up with the Afterburner freezes/lockups affecting HD78xx.

Afterburner is useless to me. All it does is crash. I only have a +20 limit for powertune in trixx and have seen others with a +50. What drivers is everyone using with the +50 settings?

Could be a BIOS thing? My Sapphire OC 7850 automatically game with +50 Powertune straight out of the box. I don't think you can simply switch BIOSes with an ASUS though; or at least, going to an ASUS BIOS with a Sapphire OC card doesn't work from what I hear. So I wouldn't risk doing it the other way, either.

RBE can't flash the card as i've already tried.

God damnit Sapphire. You and your ugly blue pcb forced me to Asus.

I'll continue to push when i get home. We'll see how high she'll go. Temps are good. 37C loaded up at 1.270v
