Just the test fit. I haven't even started leak testing yet. Results in a few hours

Why do you only have heat sinks on half the VRMs? This may effect OC.

I wonder if OP will take the vcore right up to 1.3v and try for 1300mhz on the core...

Doesn't the bios throttle at 1.3mv? I had mine at 1300mhz and 1.230mv and it throttle the gpu.

My core just sucks. Load temps at 1.295v are 34C and still cannot do 1300 core. I got a lemon

It's unlikely the core thats limiting. It's probably the VRMs and other board components. Put a fan to blow cool air over the card see if its helps, if it does, then its the other non-core components.

Ding! Check the VRM temps. I'm guessing those little aluminum heatsinks are barely keeping them below throttle. You might have to throw a (bigger) fan on them or get some copper ones.

Have a fan blowing directly over the VRM's. I'm 99.9% sure its OVP. When i load up heaven GPU usage goes to 99% then drops to 0 then up and down. I need some biod editing or something.

Well, you managed to get it past 7950 speeds... it may just be tapped out for additional power. I bet if you add anymore power to it you will smoke those VRMs and it wouldn't matter if you had the biggest heatsinks in the world on them, it would be too much current for the card to handle.

DonKarnage - just got my Asus DirectCU II 7850.

How do i enable the overvoltage trick?

Using 12.4 - assuming i should not do that?

Download Asus gpu tweak
Done.

Sort of new to OC'ing gpu.

I keep getting "driver crashes amd" - when trying for 1200 mhz.
wether on stock volts (1.21 for this card) or with 1.25 as an example.

Any tips? :D
Temps seem stay under 60 with furmark, with a custom fan profile.

What card do you have? Do you have the "TOP"?

HD7850-DC2-2GD5

so... no :X

getting little more stable slowly by volting myself now at 1150.

Perhaps i'm impatient?

will try 1200 again.

1.21v should be enough for 1200 core. Hmm... Thats a lot more voltage then mine does at stock.
