The newest XFX cards do not have lifetime warranties. That ended with the R9/R7 2xx generation.

Fury and R9/R7 3xx are now 2 year warranty.

XFX still offers Lifetime Warranty on parts and labor if the graphics card is purchased at BestBuy:

This is at least true for R7/9 300 series, not sure about Fury/Fury X.

That is a great story, but they changed the warranty from Lifetime to 2 years.

So unfortunately next time if a fan breaks getting it replaced will be a lot tougher.

I think it was 2 yrs unless you registered it, which I didn't. So, I am pretty happy with it. They could have said tough luck and there wouldn't have been anything I could have done.

If I am using it 2 years from now and it dies I will just strap a fan to it.

Just tried installing the card and I don't get a signal from it. All the fans spin up, so I know it has power. The PSU is a cx430, so it shouldn't be a power issue. Though this card doesn't use anything put what the MB can provide. I am also going through a DVI to VGA adapter. That adapter worked fine with the old card.

I know it isn't the adapter as the DVI port doesn't give a signal to my other monitors DVI input. I also tried the hdmi port using a hdmi to dvi adapter with no luck. Sent a dead card?

Well the card is not dead. I stuck it in a MSI H81M-P33 and it got to the bios screen. But all I get is a blank screen when it is in the ECS H61H2-M2. Same vga monitor and adapter was used. Any suggestions? Why would it not like the ECS board.

Got it. I had to update the bios on the MB to get it to work. Which required me to find a jumper to short ME_UNLOCK on the MB. Oh and the pins were labeled wrong in one part of the manual, so the first time it didn't work. I found the correct location and the flash worked. This caused Win7 to have to be activated again. Online activation failed, so I had to call in and do that. Then when I put the new card in, it all worked. Lot of hoops to jump through, but it seems good. None of this was XFX's fault. Just me using an old cheap MB.
