So my old fan started making a weird noise on my card, and so i have just replaced it with a http://www.gelidsolutions.com/products/index.php?lid=1&cid=17&id=52

The temp used to be at about 35-40 at idle. Now its idleing at 58-62. (was also idleing with the old fan at this temp)

I have taken it too the shop, they said its on properly, they said it could be the BIO's for the card? but wouldn't of this happend awhile ago too? all the heatsinks etc are on, i am really baffled as to why this is doing it.

Any suggestions? (Drivers are upto date too)

What kind of thermal grease are u using, Even though the said it was on right, I would try to reinstall. Also are the fans on correct (not upside down)? Just some suggestions good luck.

I'm going to see if i can re-seat it, and re-apply paste i think.

The fans can only be put on 1 way, as i have not taken them off, they are still the same as they were in the package.

Are you sure your case has good air flow? The nice thing about the stock blower design is the hot air goes out of the case. Your after market fan demands that your case have adequate airflow to eject the additional heat you are putting inside your case.

You can buy replacement fans on ebay for $8-$15 (I think). You might try finding one of those, and returning the expensive and underperforming replacement cooler.
