Lets see what it can do, it has stock cooling, but the box says, voltage tweak. Marketing stuff always makes me chuckle 😛
 
yeah... i'm in desperate need of those price drops, the igp of the radeon 3200 cant handle 1900x1200 resolutions...
 
I'm excited about the price pressure this card will put on the GTX 285 also. Of all the cards available right now, it is the most blatantly overpriced at $300-$350 (4870X2 and GTX295 pushing $500+ is way too high also). I'm hoping we'll see the following in the next couple months:

4870 512MB-$125
4870 1GB-$150
4890 1GB-$200
GTX 285-$225
4870X2-$300
GTX 295-$350

Is that too much to ask?
 
I just got home, won't be in the office till wednesday... So far I've had little succes, because the drivers suck or for some reason won't work properly. It's giving weird resolutions too, not supporting 1680*1050 for example in WiC, Warhead and Clear Sky... Should be getting some beta drivers though. I also found out I'm under NDA, so can't say to much. I don't think anything we've seen on the net allready is that far off though 🙂

that's just mean to post about it and then say..."I'm under NDA, so NADA info for you mofo's!!". Can you at least tell us the clocks?

Clocks are known right? 850mhz/975Mhz vor gpu/mem. Clocks down to like 250MHz or so in idle. It did stay cool enough for my liking, dun think it hit over 60c while running some benchmarks. It pulled like 50W more then a GTS250, but thats when benching with a game, not when loading it with furmark or 3dmark06 pixel shader test.
 
i don't know if what we "know" is official though, i don't remember seeing press releases or some such stating them so you'd better delete your post 😛

What about the idle clocks for the memory?
 
975MHz, which is 3900MHz of course ...

Thx Nosfe, but they aren't really stalking us, we didn't sign a 'real' NDA ( we just want to keep every1 happy ), so it's all good.
