My X1950XT 256M got sent back to the manufacturer for repair and they offered me a "HD 2900PRO 512M 256 BIT" as a replacement. I believe both are Sapphire. So, should I take the replacement or wait to get my X1950XT back?
I can't find a direct comparison of their performance but I know the HD 2900 PRO has some capabilities that the X1950XT doesn't, like SM4 and VIVO. However, games are just now adopting SM3 and I have to question how much I would use VIVO which basically leaves raw FPS as a big deciding factor for me. Which would you guys take?
